Arguably one of the most famous sneaker cameos in film is the Nike Cortez in Forrest Gump. In the film, Forrest is gifted the legendary shoe by Jenny. He then goes for a casual three-year run across America in his beloved Cortez. To this day, the classic Cortez kick is a favourite among A-listers and fashion insiders alike, with stars like Kendrick Lamar and Bella Hadid rocking the shoe on the regular.

Before LeBron James hit the big screen in Space Jam 2, Michael Jordan made waves in the now-iconic Jordan 11 in the original Space Jam movie. Flanked by Bill Murray, Lola Bunny and Daffy, Jordan scores the winning point in his Air Jordan 11 ‘Space Jam’. An absolute must for collectors and movie fans, this shoe is still being snapped up to this day, while an exclusive pair created just for MJ was signed and sold for an eye-watering $176,000 this year.

The Jordan 11 was originally designed by footwear legend Tinker Hatfield. Meticulously built to ensure Jordan didn’t roll his ankle during game play, this was the start of Nike starting to dominate on the court, taking over from Converse’s original basketball shoe.

One of the most legendary basketball films of all time, White Men Can't Jump sees Woody Harrelson and Wesley Snipes join forces to hustle some games. Rosie Perez as Gloria is arguably the highlight of the whole film, tbh, but second to that is the Nike Air Command Force. Billy Hoyle dons the kicks throughout the blockbuster, often teaming them with a baggy fit from head to toe.

The concept is simple; a young orphan happens across a pair of Michael Jordan’s old Nike Blazers. When he puts them on, he can play hoops like the man himself!

To this day, Blazers are an absolute classic. They’re probably not the best shoe to play hoops in, but Nike has dropped fire colourway after fire colourway over the last couple of years, and if it’s good enough for Lil Bow Bow, it’s good enough for us!

A nod to Bruce Lee, The Bride in Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill dons a full black and yellow suit with Onitsuka Tiger Tai Chi LE’s to match. The devil’s in the detail with this pair! Watch very closely and you’ll see “fuck u” stamped onto the sole, which represents the pretty aggressive theme present throughout the film series.
