What could possibly replace the snoafer (sneaker/loafer), you may ask? Well, it’s probably the snocassin (as GQ coined it). The brand that brought you the 1906L, New Balance has it all under its wing. Pioneering in the preppy sneaker game, the Boston sportswear giant has been providing us with new styles of sneakers – styles we hadn’t really fathomed before.

It’s all about being more elevated without being uncomfortable. New Balance has found the, um, balance between prep and comfort. You want to wear sneakers but also want to wear a moccasin? Well, now you can get two-in-one in this hybridised silhouette that has the dressier Aimé Leon Dore-style sensibilities of a Wallabee with a runner sole (featuring the NB Abzorb midsole cushioning and an uber-stable heel, comfortable for all-day wear).
