The New Balance 1906R Protection Pack Receives a Leather Overhaul

While the 1906R continues to become a firm favorite among New Balance fans worldwide, the Boston brand persists in providing us with fresh iterations of the silhouette. Arriving as part of the “Refined Future” or "Protection Pack" initiative, as many of us know it, the 1906R now appears with fresh leather overlays in both "Triple White" and "Triple Black."

The “Refined Future” project originally debuted back in 2021 on the 2002R silhouette and has since gone on to become one of the most revered schemes in New Balance's stable. Now, once again tackling the 1906R silhouette, the familiar layered design cues of the "Protection Pack" grace both colourways, this time complete with a fresh update on materials.

Replacing the regular suede overlays found on the silhouette's previous version, this latest iteration sports a leather top layer, complete with mesh underlays. Distinctive jagged and cut-away edges decorate the exterior of the shoe, providing a unique finish to the 2009-born model. Underfoot, ABZORB cushioning and N-ERGY sole units work together to provide comfort and stability.

Both the "Triple White" and "Triple Black" colourways are set to launch on Wednesday, the 2nd of August at 9AM via New Balance's website! We're expecting this launch to sell out, so make sure you get in there early!
