It's been one of the most talked-about footwear releases for what now seems like an eternity, but we FINALLY have our first concrete glimpse of the New Balance 990v7.

After trolling us with a grainy, shoe-sized photo of the trainer on a comically large New York billboard, the seventh iteration of the wildly popular 990v Made in USA line debuts in New Balance's seminal grey shades and that signature mesh-suede upper that have made this the go-to sneaker in the NB catalogue for so long.

Subtle splashes of colour come via a textured side panel logo, with the 'N' painted in the faintest shade of blue.
Those welcome little hits of contrasting colour continue into the midsole, which is painted in a lovely cream-blue blend, punctuated by a grey stripe via the brand's signature ENCAP cushion.

When it comes to retail, nothing has been confirmed as of yet, but our bets are on a similar £220 price point as the last model. However, given the recent addition of the $400 NB 2040v5, we could see it creep up to as much as £240 this time around.
We're still waiting on an official release date, but given previous drops, late November could well be as good a guess as any. Either way, we'd certainly imagine they'll be hitting shelves before the year is out.
