When we reported that the Nice Kicks x adidas Ultra Boost "No Vacancy" was in the works back in May, pretty much nobody believed a word that we were saying... until now, of course. When the power duo first teamed up back in 2016, they changed the course of sneaker history as we knew it. Uniting for the first NMD R1 collaboration ever made, they went on to release three more tie-dye inspired sneakers. Now, the San Francisco-based brand and the Herzogenaurach footwear giant are marking the end of an era.
Taking inspiration from their first collab, the "No Vacancy" boasts a black and red tie-dye Primeknit upper with matte elements throughout. A nod to the feeling of taking a road trip with friends, the psychedelic patterning presented throughout the Ultra Boost takes us back to a care-free time when stress was nothing but a myth.
Co-branded detailing can be found on the tongues, and underneath the adidas Boost midsole is a healthy dose of gum rubber which perfect mirrors the Nomad from '16, finalising the design.
While the UB definitely isn't as hyped as it once was, there's no questioning that the Nice Kicks x adidas Ultra Boost "No Vacancy" is a pretty monumental release. Set to drop on July 9th, let us know if you'll be adding these to your collection, and in related news, the adidas 4D Cush "Carbon" takes Futurecraft to the next level!
