If you’re a Chicago Bulls fan then you’re going to be absolutely head over heels with the latest news that Nike is set to bring back the Nike Air Flight Lite Mid “Scottie Pippen” for the first time in 30 years. Originally worn by the Bulls star during the 1992 Summer Olympics, the iconic sneakers have always been a classic and will no doubt be just as popular this time around.
The Air Flight Lite Mid itself is a lesser-seen silhouette, created for performance basketball back in the day, unsurprisingly. The pair are decked out in a classic white and red colourway that perfectly encapsulates the vintage flair, and we wouldn’t be surprised if this release ends up coming complete with limited-edition packaging to pay homage to Scottie Pippen.
The pair look set to be crafted from premium leather across the uppers, with key details including red Nike Swoosh logos on both the lateral and medial sides, padding and perforations around the ankles, a patterned sock liner and Scottie Pippen’s signature logo printed onto the insoles. A full length Nike Air midsole ensures that these are plenty comfortable too, sealing the deal here.
As of yet, there’s no official release date for the Nike Air Flight Lite Mid “Scottie Pippen”, although we should expect to see them surface sometime in early 2022. Make sure to keep it locked in right here at The Sole Supplier for all the latest updates as they happen, and while you’re here take a look at this greyed-out Nike Dunk Low that’s also due soon!
