The Nike Air Force 1 'Shadow' Deconstructs A Classic

If you ask any sneakerhead what the biggest trend of 2019 is, 99% of them will probably say deconstruction, while the remaining 1% are just lying. A fad made popular by style icons like Virgil Abloh and Chitose Abe, it doesn't look like it's going anywhere anytime soon. Now, Nike has given its flagship Air Force 1 silhouette the same treatment, and here's what you need to know.

Dubbed the 'Shadow', this special edition AF1 stays true to the original design but is reimagined with double the Swooshes and two toe boxes and heel badges. Painted in an array of clashing colours, on paper this palette shouldn't work, but for some reason they just complement each other so well.

Panels of pebbled leather make up the upper, while rubberised elements also feature for a rugged and ready aesthetic. Down below, an Air infused midsole is present for extreme comfort with every step, and to round it all off, 3M accents make their way throughout so you can flex even in low light conditions

Described by the Beaverton brand as an "elegant overemphasis";, expect to Nike Air Force 1 Shadow to hit shelves on October 3rd in two colourways.
