With Nike’s annual Air Max Day just around the corner (26th March), we’re beginning to see plenty of celebratory pairs arrive via leaked images, and so far there’s been some absolute bangers revealed. The latest sneaker to circulate seems to be the Nike Air Max 1 “3/26”, a special-edition colourway of the 1987 classic that’s decked out with features to pay homage to the world’s biggest sneaker celebration.
Showcasing shades of light blue that are very visually similar to the iconic “UNC” colourway, this pair of kicks also consists of hits of white, grey and royal blue. The classic 1987 silhouette was designed by none other than Tinker Hatfield, and remains one of the most popular models in Nike’s impressive catalogue even to this day.
The classic panelling of the silhouette remains as present as ever, with Nike’s signature Swoosh logo adorning both the lateral and medial sides, decorated with what looks like a geometric pattern. Other notable details include Nike Air embroidery at the tongue and heels, as well as a globe motif on the rear. A whited-out midsole finishes off the look, concealing a visible Nike Air Max unit under the heels.
If you’re looking to get your hands on this upcoming pair of Air Max 1s, then be aware that they’re likely to launch on Air Max Day aka the 26th March, so make sure to keep it locked in right here at The Sole Supplier for all the latest updates as they happen. In the meantime take a look at how you can cop the upcoming sacai x Nike VaporWaffle “Off Noir” and “Sail”!
