The Nike Air Max 90 has stolen all the limelight this year with its 30th birthday, but the Air Max 1 “London” and Air Max 1 “Amsterdam” has arrived to regain some of the attention. Dropping as part of the brand’s new “City Pack”, both iterations of the iconic silhouette are presented in ultra-wearable colourways with key details and premium fabrics.
First up we have the Nike AM1 “London”. The upper on these is crafted from breathable mesh and smooth suede. Overlays deliver on durability and tonal greys and blues work together to nod to London’s rainy skies and River Thames. Logo detailing comes in the form of a Swoosh to the side and a miniature version is also embroidered into the toe. Fitted with Nike’s exclusive Air cushioning, this Tinker Hatfield classic is one of the cleanest iterations we’ve seen in a while.
Next up, the Air Max 1 “Amsterdam” comes in a multi-textured finish. Brushed suede hits the toe box and a leather overlay anchors down the lace-up fastening. Cord sits on the heel for added detail and three embroidered crosses sit on the side as a nod to Dam’s signature coat of arms.
Both designs of the Nike Air Max 1 "City Pack" are due to drop on the 19th March 2020 at Nike, so set your alarms and have your card on standby, because these are an essential for the new season.
Elsewhere in the Nike universe, the Oregon-born brand is also dropping a new self-lacing Adapt LE 01. Check it out!
