The Nike Air Metal Max is a model that we sure as hell haven’t seen for a while, in fact, it’s from deep in the Nike archives! Originally launched in 1997, the Metal Max was aimed at the training market, and was a huge success in it’s own right. It stuck around until the early 2000s, when it seemingly disappeared from shelves.
For 2020 Nike has decided to revamp the classic model in all it’s OG glory, and it’s safe to say that it’s looking like a certified summer banger! Dressed in a clean black and white colourway, the bulky looking pair showcases streamlined patterns down each side similar to other Air Max silhouettes of the period, while Nike branding is kept minimal in the form of several mini-Swooshes.
Air Max technology takes pride of place under the midsole, making these a desirable option for those seeking comfort for extended periods of wear. If you’re wondering how to match these into an outfit, just slip them on with a pair of cargo shorts or baggy sweatpants for an easy win!
If you’re looking to cop, you’ll have to hold tight a little longer yet, as this pair currently have no release date set. Make sure to stay locked in right here for all the latest as it unfolds, as we’ll be the first to let you know! In the meantime, check out the CLOT x Nike AM1 that’s also making a comeback!
