The Nike Blazer Mid 77 “Ash Green/Healing Jade” is the latest colourway of the legendary silhouette to be unveiled, and it’s looking set to be an absolute banger! Here at The Sole Supplier the Blazer is one of our favourite silhouettes, with the model deeply rooted in basketball, skateboarding and so much more.
Originally launched in 1973 as Nike’s first-ever basketball sneaker, it quickly became a huge success and then went on to be adopted by the skateboarding community due to its durable construction and padded ankles. Because of this, it was one of the first silhouettes honoured by Nike SB when the line was founded in 2002.
Taking on an asymmetrical look, this pair showcases neat colour blocking with two different shades of green, titled Healing Jade and Ash Green respectively. The uppers are crafted from premium quality suede and canvas while Nike’s signature Swoosh logo runs neatly across each side.
The look is rounded off beneath the feet with a white-rubber sole unit that conceals present-day cushioning, instantly modernising the pair and making them more than suitable for long periods of wear. Extra branding comes in the form of an old-school orange logo at the tongue and NIKE typeface embroidery on the heels.
If you’re as keen as we are on these mismatched classics, the good news is that they’re set to drop via Nike and other select retailers soon, so keep it locked right here at The Sole Supplier for all the latest updates. While you’re here, check out the Nike Air Force 1 “Euro Tour” that’s also on the way!
