Delving into the extensive archives once again, everyone’s favourite Oregon-based brand has just launched a brand-new take on the classic Nike Challenger that debuted all the way back in 1979. Showcasing clean athletic vibes and a stripped-back appearance, the pair are more than worthy of a spot in your collection and will be easily worked into hundreds of outfits!
Two different variations are set to launch, both a black rendition and a white version. Both are crafted from a neat blend of nylon and suede across the uppers, with technical mesh sections making them breathable and agile. Nike’s iconic Swoosh logo spans both the lateral and medial sides, while vintage style branding from the ‘70s is present at the tongue and heel.
Beneath the feet a running style sole unit is present, concealing cushioning technology to ensure these are more than comfortable enough for a long day of wear. The legendary waffle outsole is present, a feature that was developed by Nike co-founder Bill Bowerman by melting rubber with a waffle iron in his garage!
If you’re as keen as we are on the Nike Challenger, this retro classic will be available later on this year via a handful of retailers across the globe. Stay locked in right here at The Sole Supplier for all the latest updates as they happen! While you’re here, check out the Nike Dunk Low SP “Champ Colours” that’s rumoured to release soon!
