Love it or hate it, Nike ’s infamous “Panda” Dunk is here to stay - in all of its various forms. Having rolled out the colourway across pretty much all of its Dunk variations, the Swoosh brand is now exploring other ways to give the simple “Black/White” makeup a refresh, which had led them to this particular pair - the Nike Dunk Low Vintage “Coconut Milk/Black”.
Now, vintage variations are always a big hitter within the sneaker scene, with their aged details calling back to the silhouettes’ original release years. Given the success of models like the Air Jordan 1 “Lost & Found” last year, we expect to see this vintage vibe rolled out over a number of Nike’s top-selling styles to come, so the “Panda” seems an obvious choice.
Here, the Vintage “Black/White” Dunk holds back on any cracked leather detailing, but it does take on a washed-out, subtly distressed look over its usual black overlays. In contrast, its white base remains fairly crisp looking, though the theme continues on the pre-aged, yellow-toned sole units that sit neatly underfoot, and the cream-coloured laces that tie the colourway up perfectly.
Now, even though just about everyone owns a “Panda” Dunk at this point, we’re still expecting the “Black/Coconut Milk” Nike Dunk Low Vintage to be a popper. If you’re looking to get your hands on this pair, then be sure to set those release reminders nice and early, and keep it locked to The Sole Supplier for more info as it comes in.
Up next, the Air Jordan 4 "Red Cement" is dropping soon!
