If you’re still yet to add a pair of Nike Dunks to your collection then you’re in luck, as there’s going to yet another chance to cop a freshly-unveiled colourway. Aptly titled the Nike Dunk Low “Safari”, this brand-new pair showcases faux animal-print patterns matched with muted tones across the uppers to form a well-executed colourway.
The “Safari” colourway is a classic and is always a big hit amongst Nike collectors, with the design spanning back to 1987 when Tinker Hatfield first launched the Nike Air Safari, after being inspired by a vintage couch covered in Ostrich skin. It’s also been seen on classic silhouettes such as the Foamposite and the Nike Air Presto.
The Dunk in question here showcases classic branding in the form of Swoosh logos on both the lateral and medial sides, along with Nike embroidery on the tongues and heels. Panelling remains true to the OG while the alternate panels are crafted from a canvas-like fabric as opposed to the usual leather. The look is topped off with a gum midsole crafted from Nike Grind material.
If you’re looking to add these to your sneaker rotation then make sure to keep it locked in here for more, as you can expect these to arrive at retailers in the coming months.
