Let's be real here - it’s rare to see a modern sneaker silhouette quickly cement itself as one of the best on the scene, which makes Nike’s P-6000 model something of an enigma. Though it may come as a surprise to some, the style was born in 2019, something that its quintessential retro styling manages to hide well. But just as Gen-Z are the new master of Y2K style, it's proven that it works to look at the past for inspiration, if only to avoid certain mistakes from before.

That being said, the P-6000 does wear its influences on its sleeve. The shoe was inspired by Nike’s iconic Pegasus lineage, and you can see hand-picked elements from certain Pegasus styles within the shoe’s makeup. Layers of leather and mesh are woven together in a panelled design reminiscent of the Nike Pegasus 25 and Pegasus 2006, and are offset with pops of colour that add to the retro flair. Underfoot, a layer of cushioning provides all the comfort and bounce you need - and serves as a reminder that Nike foam tech never gets old.
Shown here in stunning silver and a pretty, pastel purple, the Nike P-6000 would make a perfect addition to any rotation. If you’re looking to cop a pair just hit the links below to secure your size, and once you’re done head over to Nike to see what else the Swoosh has to offer.
