After getting a very brief glimpse last month, the Nike "Recycled Canvas Pack" has now been officially unveiled. The Swoosh's latest contribution to their "Move To Zero" initiative, this collection brings environmentally friendly elements to five beloved silhouettes.
Comprising of the Air Force 1, the Air Max 90, the Air Max 95, the Daybreak-Type, and of course, the Cortez, each pair from the "Recycled Canvas Pack" is painted in a tonal grey and green palette. As its name states, the uppers are constructed from at least 20% recycled materials and are infused with scraps found on the factory floor during the manufacturing process, so there's quite literally no waste.
Elsewhere, the Beaverton brand have also implemented Flyleather along the Nike Swooshes and backtabs which are made from at least 80% leather fibres. You'll also find Crater foam along the midsoles as well for added sustainability.
Set to launch on August 20th, due to the eco-friendly nature, no two pairs from the Nike "Recycled Canvas Pack" will look exactly the same so you'll be left with a truly one-of-a-kind sneaker. Let us know what you think of this collection, and in related news, the Jordan Brand "Crater" Collection has also been unveiled!
