When we first caught a glimpse of the Nike SB Dunk High "Strawberry Cough" back in March, we knew straight away that they were going to be a must-cop. After a long period of nothing but radio silence, however, we slowly but surely came to the conclusion that the release was most likely cancelled due the ongoing pandemic. That said, it looks like the hotly anticipated Dunk could be on the way, and here's what we know so far!
Paying homage to the popular marijuana strain, the "Strawberry Cough" is inspired by the beloved fruit. With a full suede upper, the front is dipped in deep red with subtle yet striking stippling throughout to mimic the texture of a strawberry, while the back is done up in a bold green hue, complete with a leaf-like pull tab that really cements the theme.
Underfoot the midsole is housed within an icy blue rubber unit, and to round it all off, a coughing strawberry illustration can be found around the heel and insole, created by Californian artist Todd Bratrud who previously worked with Nike on a number of occasions, with the last time being 2013's Nike SB Dunk High "Send Help 2".
According to a number of European retailers, the Nike SB Dunk High Pro QS "Strawberry Cough" will be dropping on December 30th, so make sure you keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for your best chance to cop! Let us know if you'd cop, and in related news, the AMBUSH x Nike Dunk High "Lethal Pink" finally has a release date!
