The SB Dunk may no longer dominate the sneaker spotlight (for now at least), but with the right styling and influential backing, it’s never far from reclaiming its former glory. After circulating through rumour mills and early leaks for nearly a year, two time Olympic gold medalist Yuto Horigome is back with his second rendition of the Nike SB Dunk Low, and it’s already generating buzz.
Building on his successful 2023 release, the upcoming “Asparagus” edition takes a more nature inspired approach. The shoe features an all suede construction, creating a luxurious, plush feel complemented by a soft terry cloth lining. Speckled suede overlays and a striped woodgrain pattern at the collar add rich textural detail, while Horigome’s now iconic feather logo adorns the heel for a signature touch.
Despite some fatigue around the SB Dunk silhouette, the overwhelming success of Horigome’s first design proves its staying power. His initial release dominated sneaker of the year conversations and tripled its retail value on the secondary market. A similar level of success seems inevitable for this latest drop.
The Yuto Horigome Nike SB Dunk Low “Asparagus” drops on 5th April with an expected price tag of around £120. As with many special SB releases, expect select skate shops to carry the sneaker ahead of its official launch date. Hit that bell icon to be the first to know when these drop.
