Without a shadow of a doubt, deconstruction is one of the biggest sneaker trends of 2019. Made popular by designers such as Virgil Abloh and Chitose Abe, it's been influencing a ton of sneakers this year, and one such sneaker is the brand new Nike Signal D/MS/X 'Guava Ice'.
Inspired by the chopping, cutting, and rebuilding of custom cars and bikes, the'Guava Ice' may look extremely futuristic from a distance, but upon further inspection you'll find elements from Nike models of the past, including the Air Huarache, the Air Presto, and the Pegasus 35 Turbo.
Featuring a two layer construction, 'Hyper Crimson' hues make their way to the lateral and medial side cage, while 'Blue Hero' accents hit the toe box and heel. One of the first shoes to utilise the Swoosh's brand new N110 Flyknit, it also sits atop a dual-density foam midsole for cushioning that's beyond compare. This is rounded off by a moulded TPU shank that delivers extra arch support, contributing to the overall comfort of the shoe.
Available now at Nike UK, if the Nike Signal D/MS/X 'Guava Ice' is a bit to crazy for you, it's also available in a ton of understated palettes. Let us know if you're digging this deconstructed aesthetic, and keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for the hottest sneaker news!
