After almost eight months of waiting, the Off-White x Air Jordan 5 "Sail" finally has a confirmed release date. First teased by Virgil Abloh himself all the way back in February when it was nicknamed the "Plot Twist", here's absolutely everything that you need to know about his next Nike collaboration.
The sequel to the "Black" which made its grand debut earlier this year, the "Sail" features more or less the same material construction with an abundance of ripstop fabrics and synthetic materials. The beloved Air Jordan 5 lace lock system makes a comeback here, accompanied by an extra chunky tongue that's been drenched in 3M so you can flex even in low light conditions.
Of course, it wouldn't be an Off-White x Nike shoe without the Milan based brand's signature deconstructed touches. From the quoted text along the medials to the peculiar cutouts that make their way throughout the upper, Abloh definitely didn't hold back with this release. To round it all off, the P-51 Mustang-inspired Air midsole has been dipped completely in black, and then finalised with a semi-transparent rubber outsole.
Now for that all-important release date. If you need the Off-White x Nike Air Jordan 5 "Sail" in your personal collection then you've got to listen up, as they're expected to release on October 24th through Nike SNKRS. Keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for your best chance to cop, and in related news, Virgil Abloh recently teased the return of the Off-White x Nike Air Force 1 "MoMA" via Instagram!
