When rumours of the Off-White x Nike Rubber Dunk first surfaced back in September of last year, sneakerheads everywhere were pretty skeptical. Set to be Virgil Abloh's first original model, no one had any idea what to expect, until the American fashion designer took to the runways of New York Fashion Week 2020 in February to give us our first look.
Now, the hotly anticipated Nike collaboration has leaked in three never-before-seen colourways, and we're taking our first look yet!
A hybrid model that combines the P-6000 with the Dunk Low, the Rubber Dunk takes the chunky dad shoe trend to another level. Crafted from suede and mesh, the usual deconstructed touches play a huge role here, including a rubberised Swoosh that graces the lateral and medials and a heavy use of industrial text along the side panels and laces.
In terms of colourways, when the Rubber Dunk originally leaked last year, our sources stated that only two colourways will launch including "Black/Green Strike" and "University Gold/Black". With that said, it looks like a third one is also in the works as seen down below. With a white and silver base and light university blue accents throughout, this one oozes with "UNC" vibes.
Pretty much nothing else is known about the Off-White x Nike Rubber Dunk, but if all goes well, they could be launching this summer! Let us know what you think of Abloh's signature model, and in related news, the Off-White x Nike Air Zoom Tempo NEXT% is also dropping later this year!
