New Jersey’s Packer Shoes dropped one of the hottest adidas Ultra Boost collabs over the weekend, and you probably didn’t even notice. Paying tribute to the days when high heat collaborations weren’t advertised on social media, you had to be in the right place at the right time to snap up a pair.
Taking cues from the original three UB colourways, including the OG, the ‘Solar Yellow‘, and the ‘Solar Red‘, all three are mashed up into one sleek shoe that’s accented by a matte black cage and heel cup for extra support. Down below, like all Ultra Boost sneakers since the beginning of time, a full length Boost unit is present, lined with a Continental outsole for additional grip and traction with every step.
“It’s a great time to be alive, but there’s something to be said about that long forgotten feeling of walking into a store and falling in love with a pair of shoes you never knew existed,” explains Packer Shoes. “Packer was around for that era, and we’ve missed seeing that look on a customer’s face when they look up at the wall and light up with excitement over discovering something brand new to them. … [this drop wasn’t] the typical way of rolling out a sneaker collaboration in this day and age, but a little shake up seems to be just what the game needs right now.”
It should come as no surprise that the Packer x adidas Ultra Boost sold out a long time ago, with only 500 pairs ever produced. That said, be sure to keep it locked at @thesolerestocks for a potential restock, and while you’re here, take a look at the full adidas sneaker range!
