In late 2019, we saw famed Dutch illustrator, painter, and animator Piet Parra take on the Beaverton sportswear label's iconic Dunk silhouette as his canvas playground. While that colourway released with a clean crisp white base, this newest offering from the power duo opts for a wilder colour blocking instead. Thanks to the detailed imagery provided by sneaker insider @yankeekicks, we now have a closer look at the Parra x Nike SB Dunk Low Pro "Multi" much better than we did last month.
Arriving in a low-cut version, these co-branded Nike Dunk Lows sees a combined construction of tumbled leather underlays and rich suede textile overlays, ensuring that a luxurious look is optimised to a whole level.
The left and the right shoe then showcase Parra's signature colours of blue, pink, red, orange, across the toes, eyestays, and the rear region, though in a mismatching sequence to each other for a significant look. While this arrangement may seem pretty wild, avid Nike fans are no stranger to this makeover as numerous Dunk variations are also on the way flaunting the same fashion, such as the Nike Dunk Low SE Easter Pastel "Multi" and the Nike Dunk Low Free 99 "Black".
Other notable features are the Nike Swoosh logos across the sidewalls that are dipped in a stealthy black hue for a pop of contrast and the illustrator's abstract pattern on the heel tabs and the SB Dunk Low's timeless foam-padded tongue. Co-branding imprints appear in the form of a mini Swoosh logo and Parra script style text embroidered in white towards the forefront of the shoe and a full-length midsole lined with a durable gum rubber outsole for additional traction finally cements the coveted collaboration.
