The Patta x New Balance 991 isn't the Dutch brand's first NB rodeo. Following their wildly popular 920 last year, they've now reunited with the Boston footwear label to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the 991, and the result is insanely beautiful.
Perhaps one of the most hyped NB silhouettes of the past two decades, the 991 was the first of the 99x series to feature an ABZORB window both on the forefoot and the heel. Working on a grey mesh base, "Cork" pigskin suede panels make their way across the shoe, accompanied by pinkish "Peach" hues that complement it perfectly. Down below, you'll find an extra chunky midsole that arrives in a two-tone palette for a subtle yet striking contrast.
Of course, it wouldn't be a New Balance shoe without the italicised "N" across the lateral and medial side panels. The branding game is further upgraded with "Patta" finely embroidered around the heel and their signature "P" descending upon the lace catch, rounding off the design.
Need the Patta x New Balance 991 in your life? Then you need to listen up. Dropping exclusively via the Patta webstore on January 25th, it'll then get a much wider global release four days later on January 29th. Let us know if you'll be going for these, and while you're here, you might as well take a sneak peek at the next Salehe Bembury x New Balance 2002R collaboration!
