Pharrell's Human Race line-up has got to be one of the most important sneaker collections in history. A moniker that was first used all the way back in 2015 as part of his Superstar collab, it continues to play a massive role in the industry even five years later, and that's why we're so hyped for the Pharrell Williams x adidas NMD Hu "Extra Eye". A shoe that borrows elements from the past buts goes full throttle into the future, it's finally dropping this week!
Boasting the exact same Primeknit upper that the NMD Hu is renowned for, the "Extra Eye" goes a little further by adding a grey oval pattern across the toe box to symbolise an eye. While this may seem quite simple, the Three Stripes had to attach three different types of knit together to create this extremely unique motif, and we can definitely appreciate the effort.
Bold red tones line the sockliner, while vibrant yellow accents grace the lacing system and leather heel badge. Moving further down, you'll find the NMD's unique lacing system is painted in a baby blue hue, seamlessly attached onto the full length adidas Boost midsole down below. To round it all off, a dark green rubber outsole is present, replacing the controversial Trail design that made its initial debut back in 2017 as part of the "Hiking" Collection.
Set to drop on October 2nd, rumour has it that the Pharrell Williams x adidas NMD Hu "Extra Eye" will be pretty limited, so make sure you keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for your best chance to cop! Let us know what you think of this crazy colourway, and in related news, the Pharrell x adidas NMD Hu "Pastel" Pack surfaces in a rainbow of colourways!
