Used clothing refurbishers The Renewal Workshop have joined forces with New Balance for the forward-thinking "New Balance Renewed" campaign. This latest workshop aims to taken worn and returned New Balance items to give them a new lease of life
The Renewal Workshop uses a 6 step process to ensure zero waste and maximum reusability. Each individual garment is sorted, graded, cleaned, repaired, inspected and verified to ensure both parties are happy with the final product. Once the 6 step process has been completed the item is then listed online on TRW's website for sale, creating a circular solution that is both eco-friendly and sustainable.
When speaking on the project, Nicole Bassett, The Renewal Workshop’s founder said “We look forward to seeing New Balance Renewed become a driver of renewing products and to helping New Balance launch re-commerce in the athleticwear sector.” John Stokes, the director of global sustainability at New Balance agreed saying “Together with The Renewal Workshop, we’re keeping apparel in use for longer and learning how to design for repairability.”
You can find the duo's works over at The Renewal Workshop's webstore now! In other news, Drake previews a first look at Nike x 'Certified Lover Boy' merch.
