As the founder of KITH and a long-time sneaker collaborator, it’s safe to say that Ronnie Fieg knows a thing or two when it comes to designing footwear. Much to the delight of his loyal fanbase, he’s just unveiled a brand-new project via his Instagram page. The Ronnie Fieg x New Balance 992 “Steel Blue’ showcases his stripped-back approach to aesthetics and his diligent use of colours.
Ronnie has collaborated with a whole range of labels throughout his expansive career, ASICS, New Balance, adidas and Nike to name just a few . He’s known throughout the industry for his ability to focus on the details of each shoe, drawing out each element that makes a silhouette great - and he’s done exactly that with the highly-coveted 992 model.
It looks set to be crafted from supple suede and mesh, some of the finest materials produced by New Balance’s premium factories, while the navy base layer is accentuated with hints of grey, white and ice-blue, highlighting the vintage flair that really sets the 992 apart from the rest of the NB family.
The Ronnie Fieg x New Balance 992 “Steel Blue” has only just been teased from the man himself, so don’t expect them to release anytime soon. For the time being, make sure to stay locked into The Sole Supplier for all the latest updates on this pair as they happen. While you’re here, check out the super limited New Balance x No Vacancy Inn 650’s that are currently being auctioned off via StockX!
