Over the weekend, RTFKT took to social media to tease an upcoming apparel collaboration with Nike. This announcement comes just days after the RTFKT x Nike Cryptokicks NFT was unveiled, and it marks the beginning of a very exciting partnership between the virtual sneaker company and the Beaverton-based brand.
Arriving in an all-black ensemble, the hoodie has been showcased on a CloneX NFT. With a co-branded box logo printed on the front, the RTFKT lightning bolt and Nike Swoosh sit side-by-side to cement the coveted collab. A QR code graces the left chest area, and additional branding can be found around the back. "This is not your usual physical hoodie." explained RTFKT co-founder Benoit Pegott. "This hoodie is designed for special functions."
While many fans had started questioning whether or not this will be a metaverse-only item, RTFKT Studios later confirmed that the piece will be available as both a Clone wearable and a "forgeable physical soon." This means that if you're lucky, you'll be able to secure the hoodie both in the physical world and the virtual one. The teasers also showed off a pair of the Nike Dunk Genesis Cryptokicks that we mentioned earlier. It's not yet clear if this will also arrive in a physical form, so make sure you keep it locked for more news as it develops!
