Earlier this summer, Salehe Bembury took to Instagram to tease his upcoming collaboration with Crocs. Following his unique avant-garde look, he reworked the Classic Clog to the point that they looked like an entirely different shoe. If one colourway wasn't enough, the iconic American designer has now unveiled two more versions of the Salehe Bembury x Crocs Clog!
Teased in "Light Brown" and "Deep Green" combos, both pairs are crafted from an insanely comfortable EVA foam construction - the same material that's used on Kanye West's Yeezy Slides. The Classic Clog's perforations have been modified to fit with Bembury's signature fingerprint design. This is then contrasted with a front piece that's dipped in a slightly darker tone for a look that is sure to turn heads.
Getting rid of the usual rubber heel strap, it's been replaced with metal buckles and a velcro nylon setup for a rugged vibe. This joins around the back and is attached to a heel plate that is proudly embellished with "Crocs x Salehe Bembury" branding, finalising the design.
According to the man himself, the full Salehe Bembury x Crocs Classic Clog collection will land towards the end of the year in December. Let us know which colourway you're feeling the most, and in related news, "Red October" vibes feature on the Yeezy Foam RNNR "Vermilion"!
