The South Park Crew Get Their Own Crocs

South Park has cemented its place among the greatest American animated shows with its unfiltered comedy and willingness to take aim at anyone. While Trey Parker and Matt Stone regularly involve their Colorado cast in the political discourse of the day, this new footwear collaboration finds inspiration much nearer to home.

Crocs has partnered with South Park to release a new, light hearted version of the Classic Clog. This new collection draws inspiration from four of the show's most recognisable characters. Each pair embodies the personalities of their animated counterparts. As expected, two of the initial designs honour protagonists from the show's original group of ten year olds. The first pair replicates Eric Cartman's winter attire on the Clog, including a knitted, beanie inspired Sports Mode strap.

Similarly, the Kenny McCormick edition comes in an orange colour with a brown section covering the rear. A subtle blood splatter on the outsole references his recurring death.

Instead of completing the quartet with Stan and Kyle, the collection turns to a fan favourite from more recent seasons, Randy Marsh. His classic denim look inspires a Croc, with the top of the design split open to reveal a white tee peeking through the collar. Towelie, a character already well known to sneaker collaborations, also brings his terry cloth texture and red, glazed over eyes to the fourth pair.

To round out the collection, Stan and Kyle make a cameo appearance on the Jibbitz set for a fifth and final edition. This pair depicts the snowy bus stop where we so often find the four friends.

While Crocs has not yet officially announced the release, each of the South Park Classic Clog designs is expected to land on 12th September, retailing for £70 in men’s sizing.
