The Stüssy x Nike Air Max Penny 2 Finally Has a Release Date

Collabs have always been a firm fixture of the sneaker scene, but over the past couple of years, it seems that nearly every release going has been a joint project. That’s fine if it's clear that enough effort has gone into the collaboration, but in a scene as saturated as this, it's not always the case. Luckily, there's one duo that we can always count on to bring the heat, and that’s Nike and Stüssy. The pair are back to round out the year with another banger of a release, so let's take a look at the upcoming Stüssy x Nike Air Max Penny 2 collection.

The Air Max Penny 2 has been a focus for the Swoosh this year, as the brand reached into its archive to revive Penny Hardaway’s second signature shoe. These pairs see Stüssy inject the ‘90s basketball sneaker with a little Cali flair, with wavy uppers in “Black” and “Green” dressing the silhouette.

Both pairs take on a mixed-material construction throughout, with added detailing coming from dynamic stitching, rope laces and heel and tongue pull tabs. Branding hits arrive in the form of Swoosh tongue jewels, the rear Nike Air wordmarks and the Stüssy logos at the lateral sides. This all sits atop the retro model’s classic midsole unit, which comes fully equipped with Air Max 2 tech and colour-contrasted rubber outsoles.
