After we got an early look back in April (which seems like a lifetime ago now), the Stussy x Nike Zoom Spiridon Kukini Cage 2 has finally been officially unveiled by Nike. While the Zoom Spiridon Cage 2 is having a bit of a moment in it’s own right, this hybrid version borrows characteristics from the 1999 classic Nike Air Kukini.
Decked out in a clean-looking black, white and volt-green colorway, these are already being eagerly anticipated by both sneakerheads and streetwear aficionados, so we expect them to be fairly hyped upon their release!
The uppers closely resemble the OG Spiridon Cage 2, which of course was originally designed by Stephen Smith (now part of the Yeezy design team). Nike’s iconic Swoosh logo can be found on either side in white, while the inner lining offers up a stark contrast with volt green.
The overlaid synthetic cage borrowed from the Air Kukini is decked out in brown, once again adding another subtle layer to the well-considered colorway. Stussy’s legendary script logo is placed at the tongue for the final touch here, reminding us that these are a collaborative effort with the Californian streetwear legends.
While we don’t yet have a release date for the Stussy x Nike Zoom Spiridon Kukini Cage 2, these official images hint that they may be set to launch soon.
