The latest partnership between Nike and Cactus Plant Flea Market is drawing a lot of attention, particularly after Travis Scott gave us a first glimpse of the kicks back in July. Thanks to some recent pictures shared online by @ethnicmari and @repeatatlanta, we've now got our best view yet of these unreleased Dunks.
These images of the Cactus Plant Flea Market x Nike Dunk Low Swamp Sponge highlight the unique features that make this set stand out from the classic Dunk model. The trainers are packed with different textures, a design choice we first saw on the CPFM Blazer Mid “Sponge By You”. We're talking shaggy faux fur, two tone mesh, and exposed foam padding. These materials create a look that's anything but ordinary.
The colour schemes are just as wild. Except for one all black pair, each style uses a different combination of shades on almost every section of the upper, giving the trainers a truly unique appearance. Cactus Plant Flea Market, founded by Cynthia Lu in 2015, has a history of successful partnerships, but its work with Nike is arguably its most sought after. Fans are always eager to get their hands on the brand's footwear and apparel drops, with some pairs, like the 2020 Dunk Low covered in Swarovski crystals, fetching a hefty price on the resale market.
As for the release, rumours suggest we’ll see three colourways: Sequoia, a mix of Photo Blue, Digital Pink, and Sequoia, and another in Psychic Purple, Photo Blue, and Gold Suede. This also means the pair Travis Scott was wearing might not be available for the general public.
While we don't have an official release date yet, the fact that some pairs are already out there suggests a launch can't be too far away. The trainers are rumoured to be launching in the autumn and will carry a price tag of £150. Fancy a pair for yourself?
