Korean streetwear brands have recently been tapping more into collaborative opportunities with international labels. Seoul-based label thisisneverthat is one of the notable names in the sneaker scene for its ongoing partnership with New Balance. And now their much anticipated 2002R and 1906R finally have an official release date.

The duo gained incredible traction in the sneakerhead community after delivering the 2002R in 2020. Since then, fans of both parties have been looking forward to another team-up.

The new thisisneverthat x New Balance 2002R colourway opts for a greyscale colour arrangement, with hints of white and navy marking some sections for contrast. The 1906R, however, sees silver-and-navy tones marking most of the upper paired with the same yellow N-ergy midsole unit from the first 2002R collaboration. The co-branded ensemble will launch with an accompanying apparel collection titled "The 2022 Downtown Run” containing jackets, hoodies, tees, shorts, and caps.

The thisisneverthat x New Balance collaboration is launching on the 4th of August online and in-store. Select retailers across the globe will then follow.
