Boot season is officially upon us. After unveiling the NSLTD Boot and the Knit Runner Boot last month, Ye is now blessing us with the long-awaited Yeezy 1050 "Hi-Res". If you can remember, we got a look at these boots all the way back in January when ASAP Bari teased them on Instagram, and almost a year later they're set to get an official release.
Hands down one of West's craziest silhouettes to date (and that's saying something), the 1050 takes the traditional idea of a boot and launches it straight into the future. The tongue seems to be taken straight from the Yeezy 500 "Stone" complete with the plush neoprene, while the rest of the Yeezy is dipped in a vibrant "Hi-Res" Orange colour scheme.
A zip runs across the front of the shoe for the ultimate lockdown fit, and Three Stripe branding is debossed onto the lateral and medial side panels as a nod to adidas.
Shifting your focus down below, you'll find an extra chunky midsole that's highly sculpted for an avant-garde aesthetic. Exaggerated traction makes these perfect for the winter months ahead, and according to the branding at the heel, the rubber outsole is made in collaboration with Continental. This company usually makes car tyres and they famously produce rubber for the Ultra Boost.
Interestingly enough, the adidas Yeezy 1050 Boost "Hi-Res" used to be called the 1020v when it was still at the sample stage. Landing sometime in December with a price tag of around £360, we know that these aren't everyone's cup of tea, but here at The Sole Supplier we have been waiting for these since day dot. Let us know what you think of this brand new silhouette from Kanye, and in related news, the Yeezy Boost 700 V2 "Static" is getting a major restock!
