London’s Design Museum is playing host to an exhibition all about sneakers in 2020, entitled: Sneakers Unboxed: Studio to Street. Designed with sneakerheads in mind, the exhibition is going to be split into three parts, one for performance, one for street culture and anther for fashion.
Diving into the future of trainers, the installation will look at the evolution of technology like 3D printing and self-lacing styles. Sustainability is also on the agenda and the display will look into the possibility of using recycled materials and how these processes can evolve. Also rumoured to look at the reselling industry and the value of reselling, you’ll get a close-up look at the world’s most limited-edition trainers that resell for thousands.
Tickets for Sneakers Unboxed: Studio to Street go on sale on the 20th November at £10 and the exhibit is due to run from 6th May-6th September 2020. We’ll be copping our tickets – will you?
