The 2026 FIFA World Cup is fast approaching and adidas have come through with the biggest kit release we have ever seen! With the format of the competition changing, now offering 48 teams the chance to compete, that means there’s more kits than ever to keep an eye on. Designed with storytelling and style in mind, each of the 22 latest adidas jerseys are a visual homage to national identity. Whether that’s through the use of bold graphics, clean details or subtle nods to prior victories in the competition.
Whilst each nation’s kit will get the chance to shine this coming summer, there are a few early standouts which we think deserve some early celebration. These are the 10 World Cup kits we just can’t stop talking about in The Sole Supplier office.

Kicking this off we have a team who are yet to officially qualify, Belgium. Opting for a classing look, the Belgium kit offers a darker, more mature colour palette. The brooding colourway and clean layout feel sharp and intentional, like a team ready for serious business. Think less flair, more focus.
Here we have another example that sometimes you just can’t beat the classics. Wales brings the fire with a deep red base, complemented by green and white striping and a faint ‘CYMRU’ mark across the chest. Add in the motto "Gorau Chwarae Cyd Chwarae" (“Best play is team play”) at the neck, and it’s one of the most meaningful designs in the collection.
While a green away kits may be proving to be a curse for some Premier League teams, this Saudi Arabia home kit is a thing of beauty. This jersey brings texture to the table with an all-over purple and dark green pattern inspired by the country’s elaborately decorated doorways and lavender fields. Falcons, palm trees and geometric motifs give the shirt rich storytelling depth.
Whilst Italy may have missed out the last two World Cups’ if we could offer qualification based on how clean this kit is, we would. Azzurri, but make it luxe. Italy’s home shirt sticks to the iconic blue but adds bold gold touches and clean tailoring. The ‘Azzurra’ label across the neck is a nice touch, reminding everyone who’s boss when it comes to football heritage.
We all knew they would be in this list. The 2026 Japan kit delivers a standout once again. Their home kit features soft ash blue tones inspired by the horizon where sea meets sky, a subtle, elegant concept executed with care. The Japanese flag sits proudly at the neck, grounding a design that feels as poetic as it does technical.
Colombia’s home kit channels the magical realism of the nation’s art and literature, expressed through yellow butterflies and vibrant hues. Paired with blue shorts and red socks, it’s a kit that feels just as alive as their electric style of play.
While it pains us to put Spain so high after the harsh defeat during the EUROs, we’ve gotta give it to La Roja, this is a stunning kit. Red and yellow pinstripes on a bold red base, Spain’s kit nails the brief. It’s a modern update to a classic colourway, elevated by sleek detailing and a sharp fit. The ‘ESPAÑA’ hit at the back neck ties it all together with understated authority.
A strong contender for the jersey we’ll be seeing everywhere in festival season, Costa Rica’s home kit is pure joy in jersey form. Red, blue and pink visuals of toucans, tropical leaves and wide smiles make up the all-over print, a tribute to the “Pura Vida” lifestyle. Add the back-neck hit of the same phrase, and you’ve got a shirt that’s as culturally rich as it is visually bold.
Germany plays the hits and it works. The chevron and diamond patterns borrow from the nation's 1990 and 2014 winning kit designs, reimagined in a way that feels timeless rather than throwback. This is a design that holds so much heritage and nostalgia, it was a tough choice for us not to put this in number. Minimal but far from boring, this is a flex steeped in football legacy.
It just had to be. Arguably the standout of the entire drop, Mexico’s kit is a perfect balance of past and present. We were huge fans of the Mexico 2022 Away kit in The Sole Supplier office, but this year’s home kit takes things to the next level. The deep burgundy base feels rich and modern, while indigenous patterning pays tribute to the country’s pre-Hispanic roots. The "SOMOS MÉXICO" callout on the neck is a great detail, as is the way the squad numbers are overlaid with the graphic. One of the host nations of the tournament, we’re hoping Mexico makes it deep into the competition just so we can see more of this kit in action.
