Having celebrated its 50th-anniversary last year, the iconic Timberland 6" Boot has traversed beyond the boundaries of its humble roots and become somewhat of a staple for subcultural movements from each corner of the globe. Now, as Pharrell Williams continues to make moves as Creative Director of Louis Vuitton, the duo has come together to deliver a collaborative rendition of this iconic silhouette, with luxury touches worked subtly into the model.
Revealed just days ago via an Instagram Reel, most would mistake this model for your regular run-of-the-mill Timberland shoe at first glance. Revealed on the flip side of the tongue, we see LV's classic monogram print in debossed form. At the rear of the shoe, the same pattern appears very faintly. Co-branded hangtags can also be seen.
Naturally, as with any stripped-back collaborative effort, the shoe has sparked debate online, with some calling it "lazy" and others loving everything about it. Either way, if you're after a pair, you might want to take out a loan. If Pharrell William's Louis Vuitton has shown us anything yet, it's that he's not afraid to pump the prices up. Up next, C.P. Company x ASICS team up for a unique rendition of the GEL-QUANTUM 360 .
