It's been a busy few weeks for European streetwear aficionados Patta. Following the launch of the Patta x Air Max 1 "Monarch" and "Noise Aqua", the Dutch brand has now set its sights elsewhere and collaborated with Outsiderwear for a capsule that showcases art from diverse backgrounds.
For the unfamiliar, Outsiderwear is a Netherlands-based project that is on a mission to give a voice to "outsider" artists. These artists may have mental or physical disabilities, experienced homelessness or have psychological vulnerabilities.
This latest collaboration has united artists Desmond Tjon A Joy and Regilio Benjamin with Patta for a select T-Shirt capsule. On the first piece designed by Desmond Tjon A Joy, we see a large pen and ink print sitting upon a white base. The print depicts a drawing of Compton rapper MC Eiht, famed for his role in the classic movie Menace II Society.
Regilio Benjamin’s work takes form upon a black canvas and features a range of swirls and spiral prints in a colourful pallete. The piece is inspired by the works of Bob Marley.
The Patta x Outsiderwear capsule will be available on Friday, November 5th at Patta London, Patta Milano and Patta Amsterdam as well as the brand's website. In related news, don't miss the Patta x Nike Air Max 1 "Noise Aqua".
