Travis Scott is certainly no stranger when it comes to Nike collaborations. With his hotly anticipated Travis Scott x fragment design x Air Jordan 1 Low finally launching this week and a five-colourway Nike Air Max 1 range set to release later this year, the man just never takes a break. With all that said, La Flame has now been spotted rocking the never-before-seen Travis Scott x Nike Air Trainer 1 Mid "Cactus Jack", and we're taking our first look yet!
One of the most underrated silhouettes in the Beaverton brand's repertoire, the Air Trainer 1 Mid was designed by the legendary Tinker Hatfield all the way back in 1987. Famous for being the footwear company's first cross-training model, it's renowned for its midfoot strap and encapsulated Air unit down below.
Scott's take on the iconic pair is painted in an earthy colour palette with dark brown panels wrapping around the heel and toebox. A backwards Swoosh graces the lateral and medial side panels in the same fashion at the Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 High from 2019, while the back is debossed with "CACTUS" branding in a Hajime Sorayama-style font. To round it all off, the midsole is housed in gum rubber, finalising the design.
This is the first time that we've seen the Travis Scott x Nike Air Trainer 1 Mid "Cactus Jack" in the wild, so naturally, not much is known about them. Make sure you keep it locked at The Sole Supplier for more info as it develops, and let us know what you think of this upcoming collaboration! In related news, Travis Scott recently landed a Cactus Jack film partnership deal with A24!
