Updated 31/8/23 : After playing a part in the shoe’s official roll-out, Travis Scott is set to be getting his own Nike Mac Attack collab. The artist is a long-time fan of the silhouette, and now official images shared by the Swoosh confirm his upcoming pair. Arriving in the style’s original colourway, the pair features backwards Swooshes and Cactus Jack branding on the heels, while Nike branding hits the heel and tongue tabs. Updated 25/7/23: As Nike continues the early stages of its Mac Attack rollout, it seems that the once-rumoured Travis Scott x Nike Mac Attack could finally debut during the holiday season. It's no secret that the rapper is a long-time fan of the model, and has consequently been sporting the backwards Swoosh version of the sneakers at shows, as well as appearing in the shoe’s official relaunch campaign.
Now, new information suggests that the Cactus Jack x Nike Mac Attacks could drop later this year, as early images by renowned leaker xcsnkr show the model in its very early stages of production. Of course, this is still speculation and is yet to be confirmed by the Swoosh, but stay locked to The Sole Supplier as more info comes to light, as we’ll be the first to let you know when we hear more!
Original Article: Travis Scott fans may have been left in turmoil over the news that the recent Air Jordan 1 Low “Olive” was to be his last release with Jordan Brand, but it seems that the rapper still has plenty of Nikes up his sleeve. Touching down in Miami for the F1 this weekend (the hottest new spot to preview collaborative sneakers, it seems) Scott took to the stage to give fans a sneak peek at his next joint project with the Swoosh, which looks to be a pair of Nike Mac Attacks.
A long-time fan of the vintage model, Scott has been spotted in the silhouette a couple of times over the past few years, ultimately leading to rumours that the sneaker could make a comeback in 2023. However, this pair takes things one step further, as a close look at the shoe revealed them to have a backwards Swoosh - a signature detail of Scott’s Cactus Jack x Nike collabs.
Appearing to arrive in the same navy and grey colour scheme that dressed Scott’s retro pair of choice, the sneaker seems to boast all the usual details you’d expect to see from the 80’s tennis model, including a mesh and leather build, and a checkerboard tongue tab.
Right now, we’re still awaiting any official confirmation of the collab from either Travis Scott or Nike, but with a number of Mac Attack releases lined up for this year, we’re expecting more info to materialise soon. In the meantime, stay locked to The Sole Supplier for more info as it comes in, and check out Drake’s latest NOCTA sneaker.
