After dominating the 2025 landscape, Pharrell Williams x adidas VIRGINIA Adistar Jellyfish prepares for a total takeover of your 2026 rotation with two colourways dropping soon. The man who once made us all wear oversized Mountie hats is now obsessed with deep sea invertebrates.

If you were roaming the streets of New York recently, you might have spotted a delivery truck marked "Imported from Virginia." That wasn't a late shipment of hams. It was the teaser for the 'Triple Black' Jellyfish; a New York City exclusive that kicks off the year. You get an all black mesh with synthetic overlays. The thick ‘black and white’ rope laces make these sneakers pop and the adiPRENE+ in the forefoot is sure to give you that "walking on clouds" sensation.

A triple black shoe is usually the "safe" choice for people who work in hospitality or avoid puddles. But with these sculptural, oversized proportions, adidas ensures no one mistakes you for a waiter.

While NYC got the early stealth treatment, there’s another 'Team Royal Blue' variant dropping this February. The upper uses a lightweight mesh base draped in cream and grey. However, the electric blue and black Three Stripes do the heavy lifting.

Pharrell’s signature "VIRGINIA" branding and those jellyfish inspired pods on the heel give it a silhouette that looks like it’s moving even when you’re standing in a Greggs queue.

adidas pulls from the Adistar Cushion vault here, but Pharrell stretches the proportions until they look almost organic. The rubberised overlays mimic tentacles, providing structure without making the shoe feel like a brick. It is a masterclass in how to do "big" without doing "clunky."
