With the current surge in popularity of UGGs, it's hardly surprising that a pair is likely to be on the wishlist of someone dear to you. As the must-have footwear choice for autumn and winter, UGG styles are simply flying off the shelves at the moment, so there's no better time than now to buy a pair for that special person in your life.
This season, UGG has more styles than ever that are trending all over social media, making it harder to decide on the pair that’s right for you. To help with any potential gifting decisions (for you or a loved one), we've compiled our favourite UGG styles which you should be checking out this season. Wondering what the difference is between the Tazz and the Tasman? Want to know if the Lowmel trainers is worth the hype? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!
Starting things off with a classic, you can’t go wrong with the Ultra Mini Boot. Possibly the most iconic UGG silhouette ever, the Ultra Mini is often exactly what people think of when they hear the brand's name. Featuring a low-ankle height finish, signature sheepskin lining, lightweight Treadlite outsole, and a mini heel pull tab, these shoes are truly unrivalled when it comes to out-and-about comfort. The styling options for these are endless and they will see you through even the coldest of winter days.
When it comes to colourways, you can't really get any better than the classic UGG Ultra Mini “Chestnut”. This is the colourway we all think about whenever anyone mentions UGGs and it has stood the test of time for good reason. If you’re looking for something a little different, you should check out the Ultra Mini “Burnt Cedar”, which offers a darker take on this classic style.
Possibly one of the most trending styles right now, the UGG Tasman Slipper is designed for effortless slipping on and off, making it perfect for those who seamlessly transition from bed to sofa to street in an instant. Boasting a suede upper construction, complete with a braided collar, this pair is as comfortable as it is stylish. Stamped with a "UGG" tonal logo, the UGG Tasman Slipper might just be the perfect starting point for those looking to get their first pair and make a great choice for a gift.
For a classic option this season, we’d recommend the Tasman “Antilope”. A neutral option, the olive-hued upper is a great addition to any rotation and pairs great with light-wash jeans. However, if you are looking for a bolder option, we have been loving the UGG Tasman “Leopard” for a trending style with versatility.
From a quick glance, you could be mistaken for not being able to tell the difference between the UGG Tasman and the Tazz. The counterpart of the Tasman, the key difference between the two silhouettes is the platform sole which is found on the Tazz Slipper, making it the perfect choice for those who prefer a chunky style which adds a bit of height. Atop its thick sole unit, the Tazz boasts the same genetic makeup as the Tasman, keeping things stylish with its suede uppers and braided collar. Underfoot, UGGPlush technology, made with upcycled wool and lyocell, forms the lining and insole for consistent softness.
While we have been loving every colourway of this style, if we had to recommend one it would be the Tazz “Mushroom”.
While you may be familiar with the Neumel boot, the UGG Lowmel is a newcomer to the Australian brand’s roster which has quickly risen through the ranks. Offering more versatility than the other option on this list, the Lowmel is designed for versatility and everyday wear. Constructed with recycled ballistic canvas, the Lowmel offers the comfort you know and love with added durability. If you’re looking to pick up a pair, you can’t go wrong with the Lowmel “Sand”.
For those looking for a clog rather than a slipper, you have to check out the Goldenstar Clog. Featuring a lightweight sole, the clog is an option which will see you through every season, though you may want to wear a pair of thick socks if you plan on wearing them out in fall. Offering all day comfort and classic UGG styling, the Goldenstar Clog is a great option for someone that doesn’t often rock slippers.
Finally, we end with a bang. A new and somewhat decisive addition to the UGG roster, the Pumped Slide is possibly the cosiest looking shoe we’ve ever seen. Bold and beautiful, the Pumped Slide takes everything UGG do best and takes it to the next level. Extra padded, extra plush and extra cosy, expect pillowy comfort in every step. While the “Chestnut” is definitely the most wearable option, the Pumped Slide “Big Sky” is definitely our option if you want to make a statement.
So there you have it, our top picks for UGG this gifting season. If none of these quite tickle your fancy, be sure to check out our full selection of UGGs and keep locked into The Sole Supplier for everything sneakers and streetwear.
