Up Close With the Ford GT40-Inspired Nike SB Dunk Low "Club 58"
When rumours of the Nike SB Dunk Low "Club 58" first surfaced back in October last year, we knew pretty much instantly that it was going to be a must-cop. While the "Pink Pig" pays homage to the iconic Porsche Le Mans from 1971, this particular colourway takes direct influence from the legendary Ford GT40 Le Mans from 1968, and we want it to speed into our rotations right now!
Done up in nothing but the most premium of suedes, the "Club 58" is dipped in a clean "Blue Chill" colourway while a clean white Nike Swoosh shoots across the side panels. The number "58" makes its way to the tongue and lateral wall as a reference to the skate group collective, and this is presented in a way that pretty much mimics the aforementioned Ford racecar.
In line with the GT40's signature palette, the rubber outsole has been painted in "Safety Orange" hue that offers up a simple yet striking pop of contrast. This colour is seen nowhere else on the Dunk Low, resulting in a look that is sure to turn heads wherever you go.
A release date for the Nike SB Dunk Low "Club 58" has yet to be officially announced, but we expect it to arrive sooner rather than later. Let us know if you'll be adding this colourway to your collection this season, and while you're here, you might as well take an official look at the Supreme x Nike SB Dunk Low "Hyper Blue"!
