Up Close With The sacai x Nike LDWaffle "Nylon Black"

When we first caught a glimpse of the sacai x Nike LDWaffle "Nylon Black" at Paris Fashion Week earlier this year, we fell in love with in almost immediately. One of the hottest hybrids on the market right now, no one has perfected the art of fusing sneakers as well as Chitose Abe on Sacai x Nike collaborations, and her latest release is certainly no different.

Images courtesy of sneaker insider @kickwhoshow, the "Nylon Black" goes for a more minimalist route unlike the current colourways. With a nylon, suede, and leather construction, the black and white palette places a huge emphasis on the avant-garde design that'll have you seeing double. Not only have the Swooshes been multiplied, you'll also find that the tongue and even the sole has been too.

Of course, we can't talk about this colourway with mentioning the revamped laces. While many sneakerheads have expressed their disappointment about them, we think they're pretty awesome. Gone are the conventional fabric laces in favour of a pair of satin ribbons that are sure to turn heads. Of course, you can switch these out to whatever you want.

According to our sources, the sacai x Nike LDWaffle “Nylon Black” will drop between March and April next year. This hasn't been officially confirmed yet, so make sure you keep your eyes peeled and we'll let you know as soon as something more solid comes through.
