Back in 2019, Ye gave a rare interview with Forbes focusing on his partnership with adidas. In it, he set out hundreds and hundreds of Yeezy samples across a Calabasas carpark and talked about his creative vision and his ideas for the future. While it's safe to say that the majority of these sneakers will never drop, we're now getting up close and personal with two colourways in particular that caught our eye, namely the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Turtle Dove" and "Oxford Tan".
Images courtesy of sneaker insider @james_e_morgan, the "Turtle Dove" features a striking resemblance to the "Zebra" but works on a clean beige base just like the OG version from 2015. Black lines run across the entire Primeknit upper, while a giant stripe shoots across the lateral side, complete with inverted "SPLY-350" branding. You'll also find 3M laces as well so you can flex in low light conditions.
On the other hand, the "Oxford Tan" opts for a more minimalist approach. Doused in a dark cream hue, at a glance they look a lot like the "Sesame" that recently got a restock through the adidas app. Interestingly enough, a single line of stitching runs across the back heel tab, providing a pop of contrast that is sure turn heads.
While it's safe to assume that the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Turtle Dove" and "Oxford Tan" will never ever get a public release, it's eye-opening to see what could've been. Let us know if you would've copped either of these two colourways, and in related news, the Yeezy Boost 350 V2 "Beluga RF" finally has a release date!
