Long time Three Stripes collaborator WANTO has reunited with adidas for a collaborative Yung-1 silhouette. Paying homage to the type of gear that the Tokyo artist himself would wear while creating his work, this has got to be one of the most exciting adidas collaborations in a long time, and here's everything that you need to know!
First off, the WANTO x adidas Yung-1 builds on a stealthy black base with striking yellow accents featuring throughout, along with high-vis reflective panels for a look that's made to turn heads. For a more city-ready look, the shoe replaces the conventional lacing system with toggle laces. A heel pull tab is also present for added convenience, and to round it all off, Gore-Tex has been added for that extra layer of durability and protection.
Accompanying the sneaker is a simple white tee that features WANTO's signature tag, as well as a murdered out tracksuit that follows the same kind of aesthetic as the shoes, with bright yellow hits and reflective touches that add some level of visibility for the nocturnal work hours.
The WANTO x adidas collection is set to drop on May 29th at adidas and select stockists. That being said, if you're from the NYC area, you can cop early on May 23rd at the 'I WANT CANDI' exhibition at Brooklyn Farm. Let us know which pieces you'll be grabbing, and while you're here, take a look at the full adidas sneaker range!
