On one hand, the Air Jordan 1 Elevated "Bred" is the stuff of nightmares, but on the other hand, it just makes sense. Following in the footsteps of Converse and Alexander McQueen, Jordan Brand is taking the platform sneaker trend for a spin. A fad that's been very popular among female footwear fanatics especially in Asian markets, here's everything that we know so far.
Taking on the Air Jordan 1 Low silhouette, the "Bred" arrives in one of the most iconic AJ1 colour schemes of all time. A stealthy black base builds the foundations for the upper, while contrasting red leather panels make their way to the heel, toebox, and Swoosh branding.
The legendary winged basketball's outline is stitched onto the heel for a sartorial aesthetic, and of course, you can't talk about the Elevated without mentioning the chunky platform sole. Giving wearers an extra few inches in height, it's infused with Nike Air technology for comfort and cushioning that has quite literally been taken to the next level. This is then lined with a red rubber outsole, finalising the peculiar design.
According to our sources, the Nike Air Jordan 1 LV8D "Black Red" will arrive sometime in February of next year. Let us know what you think of this drop, and in related news, the new Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1 Low "White Grey" has been officially teased!
