Don't you miss the good old days when you'd run home from school and immediately put on Nickelodeon or Cartoon Network? Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, and The Simpsons - these were just a few of the classic cartoons that shaped our childhoods and made us into the people we are today. However, have you ever wondered what your favourite characters would rock if they were sneakerheads? Well, we, at The Sole Supplier, have made it our duty to answer this all important question.
Bart Simpson
Bartman, El Barto, Bart-Dude - whatever you'd prefer to call him, without a shadow of a doubt, Bart Simpson was the poster boy for the rebellious skating culture of the '90s. He never strays too far away from his iconic green deck, and that's why we think he'd rock a pair of Vans Old Skools in a simple black and white colourway. Featuring a timeless design, the creps are the perfect representation of The Simpsons, which first aired back in 1989.
Bugs Bunny
With the catchphrase "Eh, What's up Doc?";, it would be too easy to throw Bugs Bunny a pair of Doc Martens and call it a day, that's why we think he'd be better suited rocking the Air Jordan 1 Banned instead. From the 1997 movie Space Jam, we all know that Bugs is known for this tight relationship with Michael Jordan, making the 'Banned' his perfect crep.
Jerry Mouse
Did you know that Jerry's full name is literally Jerry Mouse? Tom and Jerry were the most iconic duo to grace our screens back in the day. In each and every episode, the premise was simple but extremely well executed, with Tom (whose full name is, you guessed it, Tom Cat) chasing Jerry and encountering a slew of different problems along the way. Each episode lasted around fifteen minutes, and Jerry was running away for more than half of it, that's why he'd probably rock the adidas Ultra Boost 'OG'. Regarded by many as the best running shoe on the planet, the Boost midsole is probably why Jerry escapes with his life in every episode… well, except for 1956's Blue Cat Blues.
Rick Sanchez
By far the newest cartoon on this list, the sneaker of choice for Rick Sanchez, of Rick and Morty fame, would most definitely be Nike's legendary Air MAG. Frequently travelling back and forth among different universes and eras, the cartoon actually originated from an animated short parody film of Back To The Future named The Real Animated Adventures of Doc and Mhart. Additionally, the Air MAGs perfectly suit Rick's outfit.
Stewie Griffin
And last but not least, how can we write anything about favourite cartoon characters without including Family Guy's Stewie? At just one year old, we thought it would be more than fitting for him to rock the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 'Infant'. You're never too young be a hypebeast, right? Also, his hairline kinda resembles the signature Yeezy midsole, if I say so myself.
What sneakers do you think other cartoon characters would rock? Would Patrick Star wear the Converse Chuck Taylor All-Stars? What about Naruto Uzumaki? He'd probably cop the TGWO x adidas Consortium NMD CS1 'Ankoku Toshi Jutsu', right? Let us know what you think in the comments section below, and as always, keep it locked here at The Sole Supplier for the latest and greatest in sneakers!
