Why the Plaid Overshirt Needs to Be in Your Rotation This Season

As of tomorrow, autumn is officially in full swing, and as we know, that means it's time to layer up! Naturally, hoodies, sweats and knits are all on the table, but there are still a few mid-layers we shouldn't forget about. One addition that we shouldn't overlook is the classic plaid shirt, a timeless piece praised for its jack-of-all-trades approach to wear and style.

What would our list be without an offering from the king of workwear? It might not come as any surprise that Carhartt WIP would offer some of the best plaid overshirts, and this Archer Shirt Jacket is a prime example of that.

Unlike the previous two additions, this piece boasts a sherpa lining beneath its cotton construction, perfect for trapping warmth during the peak of winter. On the exterior, you'll note a button closure, four front pockets, and a Carhartt woven brand patch that offers contrast in comparison to the green, black and beige check pattern.
